Introductory Flights
An Introductory Flight is a great way to experience flight training firsthand and see what it feels like to fly an airplane.
You’ll meet one of our instructors, tour our facility, learn the basics of the aircraft, and spend time in the air from the pilot’s seat. You’ll even have the opportunity to take the controls and experience basic flight maneuvers yourself.
No previous aviation experience is required.

Cessna 172
Traditional. Proven. Straightforward.
The Cessna 172 provides a classic flight training experience and is an excellent way to learn the fundamentals of flying.

Cirrus SR20
Modern Technology. Safety Focused. Comfortable.
The Cirrus SR20 provides a modern, comfortable training experience with integrated glass cockpit avionics, safety-focused aircraft systems, autopilot, air conditioning, and the added safety feature of the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS).
Northwest Flight Service is proud to be a Cirrus Platinum Training Center, and the Cirrus is an important part of who we are. Our relationship with Cirrus has helped shape our approach to standardized training, technology, aircraft management, and safety.
The Cirrus SR20 gives students the opportunity to begin learning in the same type of cockpit environment they may continue flying throughout their aviation journey.
For students interested in a modern training aircraft, or seeking a professional flying career, the Cirrus Introductory Flight provides an excellent look at what today's general aviation training can offer.

Which One Should I Choose?
There isn’t a wrong choice.
If you are looking for a more traditional introduction to flying, the Cessna 172 is a great place to start.
If you are interested in modern avionics, safety-focused aircraft systems, the SR20 Introductory Flight gives you a safer, technology focused and comfortable experience.
If you already know which aircraft you would prefer to use for your training, choosing the same airplane for your Introductory Flight is a great way to get started.
